OKP Premiere: Join Los Angeles’ Air Life In “Searchin’ For An Answer”

AL3

It is our pleasure to showcase the latest and greatest from Los Angeles’ own Air Life. “Searchin’ For An Answer,” which was curated by band leader Taylor Dexter, is an eclectic mix of funk and pop that stews in one’s ears like a flavorful, melodious gumbo.

Air Life has already released two delectable singles via indie label New Professor Music, which has earned them praise from L.A. Canvas and other publications. To give you a bit more intel on the group, Air Life consists of the aforementioned Taylor Dexter, Brad Babinski (bass), Derek Howa (keys), Cassandra McGrath (vocals), Mark Einhorn (saxophone), Brijesh Pandya (drums), Blake Straus and Wesley Singeman (guitars).

The “hyper-talented” Taylor Dexter sits in the driver’s seat serving as the voice, production and primary writer for Air Life. A graduate of Hollywood’s Musicians Institute, Dexter has put in work as a session drummer, which helped him develop his own original sound for Air Life. As this band has shared the stage with some of the freshest new names in the business (Anderson .Paak, Holychild) — Air Life contains some of the finest young musicians doing it and “Searchin’ For An Answer” is worth your time.

You can listen to this Chaka Khan inspired future pop soul song, below, and keep an eye out for the song to be available tomorrow (Feb. 12) on New Professor Music.
