Safe Harbor ruling: Impact on SMEs and digital startups – our next European Parliament Roundtable

The invalidation of the Safe Harbor ruling erased the streamlined process for data flows across the Atlantic. Nowadays each of the EU’s 28 Member State’s DPA could evaluate individually if US companies match EU safety standards when dealing with personal data. Small companies, being those 60% of the companies that participated in Safe Harbour, will likely be the most affected by the ruling.

Our next Roundtable Discussion, hosted by Heinz K. Becker MEP (EPP),  aims to clarify the industry’s views and the purposes of the new Commission Guidelines and understand concerns and needs for the adoption of an effective Safe Harbor 2.0.

Join us on November 17th at the European Parliament, room A1H1, from 14:30 to 16:30. Speakers include Heinz K. Becker MEP, Paul Rübig MEP, Paul Nemitz (DG JUST), Max Keller, Andreas Bakc and Lenard Koshwitz (Allied for Startups) representing the industry.
