OKP Premiere: 14KT Takes Us On A Sonic Voyage w/ The Triumphant Instrumental “Seen In Green”

OKP Premiere: 14KT Takes Us On A Sonic Voyage w/ The Triumphant Instrumental "Seen In Green"

Tomorrow, Detroit beat-freaker 14KT will drop his fifth solo studio album Elelator, continuing on the path he first started on back in 2008 with his critically-adored The Golden Hour LP. Today we have the pleasure of bringing you a taste of that new offering in the driving, cosmic funk of his latest instrumental “Seen In Green.” The track commences with staggered, slightly swung shuffle, accented by bright chimes and touches of warm, withering bells, underscored by pulsing blasts of synthesizers. The mid-track break comes in with a swiftness, dialing back the frenetic pace of the track just a tad, before lunging back in full-steam like a mothership completing its lap around the galaxy, which may also be the perfect venue for such a heady concoction of breakneck beats and cerebral synths. And if this is any indication of what to expect on of 14KT’s Elelator, the record could very well be the sonic voyage you need to escape the now mundane hi-hat trills of trap & b. Hear 14KT’s “Seen In Green” below and hold tight for the record to drop at midnight tonight. Check back for the buy link in the morning.
