Just in case you haven’t had your fill of J Dilla gems over the last year (because, really, how could you even?) Ma Dukes and The Estate have yet another reissue that they’d like to share with you. On May 6th, Ma Dukes will rerelease 2008’s Jay Love Japan, technically the very first posthumous Dilla album, which featured a very young Miguel, as well as Blu, Exile, J*Davey and one of the late Baatin‘s very last vocal performances over some late-era heat from the gawd, Jay Dee.
The album will be released on both vinyl and CD as well as a deluxe edition that contains both, plus a bonus 7-inch colored flexi-disc and a limited edition tee. We know you’re likely overwhelmed with all of the J Dilla collections en route (The Diary on April 15th, Fantastic Vol. 1 & 2 box set also shipping in early may) but one more certainly wouldn’t hurt, specially when it comes to an album that hasn’t had a proper release since its very limited first-pressing eight years back. So get it while you can. Hit the link to pre-order your copies today and get a taste of what’s to come down below.
