innovation of hip hop

hello afro punk community my name is jonah i go by Runahwae i have started this discussion because i am new to blogging and making friends through the internet and what not but anyways so i have a band i rap play the guitar/bass/ a bit of the drums and want to change hip hop thats my dream!!! so anyways my band i and i go by my name, Runahwae,(like runaway) instead of using instrumentals we make the music i write the songs and play guitar and bass in all recordings a little bit of drums but leave that to my friend nathan i want you guys to hear some of music and help me out and help other people out that its not just ROCK OR PUNK IM NOT A BAND yes i have a band and play recordings and shows with one but i am a rapper this is how i invasion rap/hip hop in my head i want to change the game of hip hop. it annoys me when the white kids out here can’t see the vision or just people in general. people will say “dude your rapping was tight” and they’re referring to when i made an ep with rhymes over instrumentals and not seeing the fact that I’m still rapping and putting in just as much effort into my music. its just when you add some “rock riffs” or breakdowns and punk shit they automatically put it in a fucking box. or i get the white music club promoter booking me with other punk bands and describing my music as “sad skate tunes” like i wrote this shit for you to specifically learn a kick flip to when you haven’t landed it. and the rappers out here ( i live in indiana) do not get it and are closed minded except a few that have like minds and know good music and the definition of innovation. Yes, i would consider myself a punk, skinny jeans, traditional tattoos,i like to skateboard,i don’t give a fuck, and i like Nirvana. but i also am in love with mf doom, biggy smalls, and know where the cut is. i want to to change how we view rappers and hip hop shit i love hip hop and this the way i do it and couldn’t see myself doing it any other way. so i have a band camp
